Emergency Ride Home

How to Enroll

Members of the goClub who live outside the City of Davis are enrolled in the TAPS Emergency Ride Home (ERH) Program.

If you are not a member of the goClub, join today at http://goclub.ucdavis.edu/

How to Use

ERH is available Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:00pm to qualified goClub members. If an emergency situation develops and other transportation options are not feasible, TAPS will provide an emergency ride to your home or to your commute starting point.

To request an emergency ride home, you may call TAPS at (530)752-8277. Rides and/or services may not always be immediately available upon request. Every effort will be made to accommodate rider requests promptly.

For Residents of the City of Davis

Members of the goClub who live within the City of Davis are not eligible to participate in the TAPS provided Emergency Ride Home (ERH) Program. However, the following agencies are available to assist you with your transportation needs:

If Our Office is Closed

UC Davis faculty and staff working 20+ hours per week may sign up for the Sacramento Region Commuter Club to receive up to six courtesy taxi vouchers per year through the Yolo TMA. To be eligible for these vouchers, you must join the Commuter Club by following the steps below:

  • Go to http://yolotma.org/
  • Login or create a new account by choosing "New User" (please remember to choose UC Davis Faculty & Staff as your employer)
  • Once you have logged in to your account, choose Emergency Ride Home from the menu on the left side of the page
  • Download the emergency ride home voucher and follow the on-screen instructions

Rules and Restrictions

TAPS provides ERH to qualified goClub members with a verifiable emergency need. Rides and/or services may not always be immediately available upon request. Rides are not provided for the following reasons: working overtime, night classes, bus/shuttle malfunctions or scheduling conflicts/delays, medical appointments, business travel, personal errands, or transit delays.
